Equipment

This is a list of our home theater equipment currently being used.

We pre-wired the house with CAT5 for Data and phones with RG6 quad shielded Carol Command studio grade cable throughout the house. All the wiring is run to a homemade distribution panel with a Channel Vision 8way amplified video splitter, 8port 10/100 switch, and telephone punch block. A DSC Power 832 security system was also wired with 8 zones. Speaker wiring was run in the walls also consisting of 14 and 12gauge Oxygen free IXOS cable.

The Theater equipment is all mounted in a 19" Middle Atlantic rack which makes connections and organization a snap. The little receiver in the bottom right powers the bass shakers bolted to the bottom of the couch. (2) dedicated 20amp circuits feed the rack. Another 20amp circuit is for the subwoofer amps. And a 15amp circuit was run for the projector. The Subwoofer amplifiers are sitting off to the side in their own enclosure off another 15amp circuit (not pictured).
